Reflecting on the evolution of our award-winning acoustics range and vision for the future.
Zintra is born – bridging design and acoustic excellence
The Baresque Group launched Zintra in Australia in 2012, to combine beautiful design with industry leading acoustic solutions - underpinned by a commitment to the environmental impact of the product and its use.
With the expertise of Baresque Fabrication already established, it was a natural evolution and opportunity to apply our fabrication skills to this multi-use product.
Zintra’s global expansion - from vision to reality
With Baresque’s long connection to the US market and suppliers, and a close affinity with their vision for culture and design, Zintra launched into the US in 2015. Part of this expansion was the important establishment of partnerships with both MDC Interior Solutions and Crown Surface Solutions for exclusive representation in the US and Canadian markets.
In 2019 we further expanded into Europe, and today our localised sales, manufacturing and distribution networks now span Asia, Europe, Canada and the US.
Aesthetic evolution: a diverse product portfolio
Our first product line included sheets and systems for walls and ceilings, and desk panels, in a range of 16 colours. Our current portfolio has expanded to include a multitude of categories including Baffles, Tiles, Sticks, digital Prints and various wall paneling aesthetics.
Our colour offering has expanded to include 30 solid colours, 4 timbers, 12 Premium Wood and 18 Premium Material prints.
Superior acoustics: elevating environments
In launching Zintra we wanted to be different – to apply acoustical best practice to product development; to transform spaces beyond the aesthetically pleasing to achieving superior acoustic performance.
We are passionate about understanding how noise works in 3 dimensions and applying that understanding to the where, how and when a product should be used in order to determine the best acoustic outcome.
Our products have been independently tested and receive NRC ratings from 0.45 to an impressive 1/1.5.
Art of acoustics: revolutionising aesthetics and sound
We’re proud of our history of product innovation, which has pushed the boundaries of acoustic achievement, customisation and technological advancement.
Our key innovations include Zintra Mesh Baffles, Emboss, Organic Etch and Timber & Sticks - collections which combine unique, progressive aesthetics with high acoustic performance.
Our Digital Print technology continues to evolve, offering realistic alternatives to real wood and architectural materials such as concrete, which are brought to life in photorealistic detail.
Our colour offering has expanded with six new hues that blend artistry and innovation. Created using advanced fibre technology, these new colours feature a unique 4-layer construction that adds depth, visual interest, and enhanced coordination options.
Planet positive
At Zintra we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment.
Certified by EPD and Declare, Zintra is made from 100% recyclable materials. That’s 60% Post-Consumer recycled content from PET bottles; 35% Pre-Consumer recycled content from PET chips, and a final 5% PLA - a bio-based material. It means we give existing plastics a second life to avoid them going into landfill, and to avoid a reliance on virgin materials.
Wellness for today and tomorrow
We’re proud of our eco certifications which help to create spaces that contribute to the overall wellness of the people that use them.
Zintra is low VOC, contains no formaldehyde, and is certified by HPD, GREENGUARD GOLD and is Red List Free.
Honor roll
2022 to 2024 saw Zintra win a number of industry awards, including the highly regarded Best of NeoCon Innovation, Gold and Silver awards for Organic Etch in 2023; and Best of NeoCon gold awards for Mesh Baffles and Premium Materials in 2024.
Future vision for Zintra
The need for acoustically focused materials and solutions is only at the start of its journey. As spaces use less soft furnishings and become more open plan, noise continues to be such a debilitating issue in so many different applications – Zintra’s future as a solver of these issues looks strong.
As accreditations, such as WELL, shift the focus from products to how they impact the user of the space, Zintra will continue to grow in relevance and importance. Noise absorption and aesthetic consciousness, along with industry leading environmental accreditations, position Zintra perfectly for this evolution.
